At Pepcom Well Now!: Previewing Coway’s ‘Smart’ Mighty Air Purifier

Coway revealed at Pepcom’s Well Now! event Nov. 14 that it would release in December a new version of its Mighty air purifier. The new Mighty Air Purifier is a “smart” version of the earlier model, said company spokesperson Dana DeRiso. It is adjustable via the Coway smartphone app, which communicates with the purifier, affording the user a wealth of data about the room’s air quality while letting the phone’s owner know, based on sensor feedback data, when to crank up the unit. It has a 300-foot purification range and comes with a HEPA filter.
Its four-stage filtration system does pre-filtering, deodorization, True HEPA filtering, and Vital ionization and is said to capture up to 99.97 percent of airborne particles 0.3 microns in size – including pollen, pollutants and other allergens. It is also an odor-reducer. The fan it uses is settable at three speeds, and the device also has a timer feature. It also provides quiet operation with noise levels ranging from 24.4dB to 53.8dB.
