AT&T Confirms 3G Expansion For Next iPhone
Apple may have just released higher-capacity versions of its iPhone, but it’s already thinking about the next generation of the popular device- and in preparation, the company’s telecom partner is taking steps to improve its wireless broadband network.
According to AppleInsider.com, AT&T has confirmed that it will undertake a “major expansion” of its wireless network this year, expanding 3G service to 80 additional cities by the end of 2008. This will make the 3G service available in 350 U.S. markets by year’s end.
The initiative will apply not only to the iPhone, but to all other AT&T phones that use broadband.
