AT&T Backs Book Reader
AT&T announced this week that it will private support for a new e-book reader from Plastic Logic Ltd, the AP reported. The Plastic Logic device will compete with Amazon's Kindle, which has a similar arrangement with telecom rival Sprint.
The news follows the announcement earlier this week that Barnes and Noble will launch its own e-book store, which will compete with Amazon's for the Kindle; the Plastic Logic reader is among the devices that can be used for it.
Plastic Logic's device will debut in early 2010.
