Arnold Klayman, a pioneer in the world of audio technology and the inventor of the Sound Retrieval System, has passed away at the age of 82, SRS Labs announced last week.
“This is a very sad day at SRS,” SRS’ CEO, Tom Yuen, said in a statement. “Arnold was a genuine innovator whose contributions extend across a wide range of audio products. He was one of the very first to apply the science of psychoacoustics to improve audio playback, and he had a keen understanding of the human hearing process.
“He will be deeply missed,” Yuen added.
