Audiovox Joins Kids and Cars Safety Campaign
Audiovox, a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based marketer of automotive entertainment, vehicle security and consumer electronics products, recently showcased its line of aftermarket collision avoidance products at the “Kids and Cars” conference in Washington D.C.
The conference helped reintroduce the Cameron Gulbransen Kids and Cars Safety Act 2007. Sponsored by Senators Hilary Clinton (D-NY) and John Sununu (R-NY), the legislation addresses vehicle and child safety, especially to help prevent children from being run over because they can’t be seen behind vehicles. Representatives Peter King (R-NY) and Janice Schakowsky (D-Ill.) introduced a companion bill in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Audiovox took the opportunity to demonstrate its latest Audiovox Collision Avoidance Systems, which includes cameras and rear-sensing devices.
