Audit Says CES is North America’s Largest Trade Show
An independent audit has confirmed what was largely thought to be true: this past January’s International Consumer Electronics Show was the largest trade show in North America this year, in addition to being the largest CES, square footage-wise, in history.
According to VERIS Consulting LLC, the CES, which was held from Jan. 8-11 this year in Las Vegas, drew 143,695 attendees, including more than 27,000 from 140 different countries. The show took up more than 1.8 million square feet of space. While the 2007 show set records for both square footage and international attendance, the overall attendance at the 2006 event (152,203) was slightly higher.
Next year’s International CES will be held Jan. 7-10, once again in Las Vegas.
