Audiovox Corp. announced this week that it has reached a deal to become the principal aftermarket supplier of products from Sirius XM Satellite Radio. Audiovox had had a similar deal in place with XM, which preceded the XM-Sirius merger, since 2005.
"This is yet another major milestone for our Company as it further strengthens our leading position in the satellite radio category," Audiovox's President/CEO, Patrick Lavelle, said as part of the announcement.
"Despite the current economic climate, satellite radio is still growing and we believe it will continue to be a prominent form of consumer entertainment. With this agreement, we expect our satellite radio sales to more than double next year with limited exposure."
