The Ausounds headphone label is being launched with the debut of its first-out-of-the-gate model in the AU Collection: the AU-Stream ANC ($149.95), a true wireless earphone that features active noise cancellation (ANC) and is available now on the company website.
The AU Collection is the inaugural offering from two audio industry experts: CEO Michael Chen, who brings 16 years of experience in audio manufacturing to the table, and CMO Marcus Sanchez, a music industry veteran who has worked with music and CE brands including Audeze, Universal Music Group and Monster Cable as well as musicians including as Rihanna, Usher and Chris Brown.
AU-Stream ANC is said by Ausounds to be one of the first true wireless earphones to offer active noise cancellation. It features a 13mm Titanium driver, True Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, an IPX5 waterproof rating, and a total battery life of 20 hours.
In addition to the AU Collection, Ausounds will be introducing its High-Fidelity Collection, targeted at audiophiles and for home studio referencing use. That introduction is planned for the RMAF Show in September; its Pro Collection, tailored for sound engineers and studio use, is due out in early 2020, according to the company.
“The role of music creators in the industry is tantamount to everything; this is where our sound comes from,” said Sanchez in the announcement statement. “We wanted to create a brand that addresses the many needs of creators at all levels – in their everyday lives and in their work.”
Furthering the brand’s focus on the music industry as a whole, Ausounds will be working with leading influencers and leaders, including its first brand ambassador, five-time Grammy Award-winning producer Brian Kennedy. Ausounds will also be partnering with MusiCares, a group that provides assistance to individuals in the music industry in times of need, by donating $1 from the sale of every headphone to benefit the organization’s work.
