Vogel Leaves MERA; Cook Named Executive Director
Barry Vogel has resigned his position with the Mobile Electronics Retailers' Association (MERA), and Chris Cook has been named the new executive director. Cook, formerly the organization's director of industry relations, will be "responsible for all aspects of the associations’ management," MERA said.
Cook has engaged industry veteran Paul Pirro, formerly of Victory Technologies, to assist in managing membership needs, with a focus on the upcoming KnowledgeFest event, which will be held Oct. 10-12 in Dallas.
“The mobile electronics industry must come together with a common purpose that utilizes the best and brightest leaders and ideas to build a successful future for our industry," Cook said in a statement. “MERA’s 2000 members together with an experienced management team are the right combination for success to grow the association and in turn the industry.”
