BeHear NOW Hearing Device Doubles as Bluetooth Headset
BeHear NOW, a personal hearing product (PHP) that is available at $249 through the wearandhear.com company website and through Amazon.com, combines the functionality of a customizable digital sound amplifier, Bluetooth stereo headset and assistive listening device. The company says it is designed with a long-lasting rechargeable battery that will last more than 12 hours in hearing mode. It is made to improve all-around, personalized hearing, is sold over the counter without a prescription as a consumer electronics item, and is suitable for users with mild and moderate hearing loss – but its utility also extends to being a phone call sound enhancement, or for use in listening to streaming music.
Its Bluetooth connectivity enables it to operate with additional devices, such as laptops, mobile phones, music players, a remote TV transmitter, or remote microphone, sending the audio directly to the wearer’s ears, and customizable, via the BeHEAR smartphone application, to the listener’s hearing preferences. The app showcases a personalized assessment test that will be saved into the hearing aid permanently unless reset by the owner, says the company.
The company will be exhibiting additional products at CES 2020, and is in discussion with national and regional retailers for distribution at this time, according to a spokesperson.
