Best Buy Agrees to Lease For Chicago Store
Best Buy has agreed to a lease for a first-floor store in the John Hancock Center, on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, Crain’s Chicago Business reported Thursday. The deal for the 22,000 square-foot store is expected to be announced soon.
Last year, Best Buy dropped plans to open a store at the nearby Chicago Place.
Michigan Ave., one of the most noted shopping districts in the U.S., has traditionally shunned chain retailers, but that has begun to change, with Apple and Garmin also opening up showrooms of late.
