Best Buy Brings Ultra HD 4K to the Bars
Best Buy's plans to showcase its Ultra HD 4K offerings at local bars came to its hometown area of the Twin Cities Thursday- if only they'd chosen a better football game.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, on Thursday night, Best Buy brought Ultra HD TVs from various manufacturers to Brit’s Pub, a bar in downtown Minneapolis. Representatives from Samsung, Sony and LG were on hand as well to talk up the products.
Unfortunately for Best Buy, the manufacturers, and everyone present, the game they were watching in ultra high-definition- between the hometown Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers- turned into something of a debacle for the hometown team, with the Packers trouncing them 42-10. If anything, the evening made it clear that at whatever point Ultra HD hits the tipping point, Vikings backup quarterback Christian Ponder, who started Thursday, probably won't still be in the NFL.
