Best Buy to Carry New Kindles
Best Buy announced late Wednesday that it will carry the full line of new Kindle products, including the Kindle Fire tablet, which Amazon introduced earlier in the day.
The chain will begin taking preorders for the $79 Kindle Thursday, and for the Kindle Fire and Touch products as their November release gets closer.
"Tablets and E-Readers have captivated consumers everywhere and we are thrilled to be able to offer the complete Kindle line to Best Buy customers," Brian Dunn, chief executive officer of Best Buy, said as part of the announcement. "We think these Kindles are going to be some of the hottest gifts this year. At Best Buy, we've long stood for choice and are delighted that these exciting Kindle solutions will be part of our holiday selection."
