Anderson Took Pay Cut in 2009
Best Buy CEO Brad Anderson, who is set to step down next month, saw his pay drop 60 percent in the last fiscal year, as the company carried out layoffs and other restructuring.
Anderson was paid $1.3 million in the 2009 fiscal year, a drop from his 2008 figure of $3.2 million, the Associated Press reported, citing an SEC filing. The 2009 compensation included $1.25 million in salary, and did not include options or a bonus.
Anderson will retire in June, to be replaced by Brian Dunn.
