Best Buy Considering Multiple Tablets
While Best Buy has denied published reports that it has decided to purchase iPads for use by its salespeople, a spokesperson for the retailer confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that buying tablets for use in-store is under consideration.
According to the Journal's Digits blog, a representative of the retailer confirmed that Best Buy is studying various available tablets, including the original iPad, the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, with the idea of a limited number of them being used in-store by associates. However, no final decision has yet been made.
The tablets are being tested as part of Best Buy's "Connected Store" project, the Journal said.
