Best Buy: Customer Addresses Were Accessed
The email addresses of some Best Buy customers were accessed by an unauthorized third party, the company said Sunday.
"[Best Buy] was notified by Epsilon, a marketing vendor used to send e-mails, that an unauthorized party outside Epsilon gained access to files that included e-mail addresses of some Best Buy customers in the United States," the company said in a statement. "Best Buy has been informed that the compromised files did not include any personally identifiable information."
Best Buy is investigating the incident, the company said.
