Best Buy Employees Charged With Theft
A trio of sales associates at a Best Buy in Central New Jersey were arrested last week on charges that they ran a scheme in which they helped each other steal multiple items from the store. According to the Courier News newspaper, the stolen items from the store in Bridgewater included an LCD projector, a Mac Book Pro, and a Microsoft Xbox.
Police told the newspaper that the scam entailed the employees putting the items in the boxes of much less expensive products, and paid for the latter ones. The three men, aged 18, 21 and 25, were all charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft.
Bail was set at $5,000, the newspaper said.
