Best Buy/Ford Partnership Expanding
Best Buy and Ford Motor Co., who earlier this fall announced a Texas-based pilot program for a new joint dealer program, declared the partnership a success this week, and announced that the venture will expand to two more states.
The program featured demonstrations of Ford's Sync mobile electronics program in Best Buy stores in the Dallas, Tex., area, as well as owner's clinics for those who already own Ford cars. According to survey data from the companies, 70 percent of participants in the demos considered themselves more likely to buy a Ford car, while 80 percent said the program improved their overall opinion of Ford.
The companies also said that Ford and Best Buy will soon begin working together in both Pennsylvania and California.
