Best Buy has announced that it will lay off 250 workers from its headquarters in Minnesota, but that it is also establishing more than 200 new jobs, for which the laid off employees will be eligible to apply. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the company has now slashed its corporate workforce by 13 percent.
After 500 employees at headquarters accepted buyouts last month, the company announced that additional layoffs would be announced this week. The company will announce in March how much it will save from the moves.
