Best Buy Lays Out Mobile Plans
Best Buy plans to open more than 100 Best Buy Mobile outlets in the next six months, and remains committed to its growth strategy, the company's CEO said Tuesday.
Brian Dunn's comments came at the company's shareholder meeting, the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal said. Best Buy plans to increase its number of Best Buy Mobile outlets from 200 to 325 the rest of this year, while also cutting its retail space 10 percent over the next 3 to 5 years.
Best Buy is also considering adding "tablet central zones" to some of its larger stores. And the company will initiate a $5 billion share-buyback program.
