Best Buy May Buy More European Retailers
Best Buy’s purchase last week of the a 50 percent stake in Carphone Warehouse may be just the beginning of the company’s expansion into Europe.
According to Forbes, the company’s CEO, Brad Anderson, expressed an interest in buying an additional pair of European retailers, DSG International and Kesa, in an interview over the weekend with the Daily Mail, a British newspaper. Anderson called a potential purchase of those companies “one of those things we have considered for years.”
Kesa owns the retail chain Comet, while DSG International owns both Currys and PC World, a British computer retailer that is not to be confused with the American magazine of the same name.
