Best Buy Shifts Executives
The CE retail giant Best Buy announced an executive shakeup Wednesday that may clear up questions of succession to its current CEO, according to Bloomberg News.
Under the new alignment, Chief Financial Officer Darren Jackson will move from that position to a new role, called “executive vice president, customer operating groups,” which will place him in charge of the company’s PC, entertainment, and home solutions groups. Jackson will be report to president/COO Brian Dunn, and will be replaced as CFO on an interim basis by Jim Muehlbauer.
According to analysts quoted by Bloomberg, the move solidifies Dunn as the most likely successor to CEO Brad Anderson.
