Best Buy Names New CFO
Best Buy said Monday that it has named James Muehlbauer to the position of chief financial officer, the AP reported. Muehlbauer had been the CE giant’s interim CFO since September.
Muehlbauer has also taken on the additional title of executive vice president, finance. He joined the company in 2002 and became CFO of the company’s U.S. business in 2006.
“He has helped build an organization with a reputation for sound financial operations, reporting transparency, strong internal controls and integrity. Jim has a deep understanding of our business and a strong point of view about creating shareholder value as we pursue growth,” the company’s CEO, Brad Anderson, said as part of the announcement.
