Best Buy Offering Geek Squad-Based Service Plans
Best Buy announced this week that it has begun offering “next generation” protection service plans to its customers. The program, called “Geek Squad Black Tie Protection,” and will provide benefits backed by the company’s Geek Squad tech support force.
“Geek Squad Black Tie Protection delivers the support our customers tell us they want to safeguard their gear, a level of support that only Best Buy is able to provide,” the company’s President/CEO, Brian Dunn, said as part of the announcement.
The new service plan will include full coverage for product failure due to normal wear-and-tear, 24-hour-a-day access to Best Buy personnel by phone and ability to locate service locations and details through the company’s Web site.
