Best Buy has released a new report outlining its corporate responsibility goals going forward. The 30-page report is based around the idea that “the technology will follow the people.”
The company sees itself as “a global champion for human ingenuity and opportunity,” “a global advocate for consumers in the world of technology” and “environmentally and socially accountable for our brands and business operations worldwide.”
Best Buy’s goals also include a greater responsibility to be greener, creation of opportunities for employees and improvement of the supply chain. The report also lays out the company’s current numbers in terms of employees as well as economic value generated, as well as a profile of the average Best Buy employee.
