Best Buy to Help Military Families
Best Buy said Tuesday that it will participate in the "Joining Forces" initiative, through which the company's Geek Squad will help members of the military connect to their families through technology.
Geek Squad will host seminars teaching military families how to use certain cutting-edge communication technologies, and military children will be invited to the Geek Squad Summer Academy.
"We are honored to bring our companywide-commitment to providing access for people to one another with technology. Our employees look forward to helping families use technology to close the gaps in distance so often caused by the huge sacrifice of our service men and women," George Sherman, senior vice president of Best Buy Services, said as part of the announcement.
