Best Buy Plans Marketing Effort For Mobile Section
Now that Best Buy has finished its rollout of its new Best Buy Mobile store section, its next step is getting the word out.
According to MediaPost Marketing Daily, the retail giant is planning an advertising campaign for the new concept, one including television and radio ads, as well as circulars.
While plans have not been finalized, the campaign will likely showcase both the iPhone 3G and Samsung Instinct, two popular smart phones not sold by most CE retailers. A Best Buy spokesman told MediaPost that this is the first time in the company’s history that mobile phones have been a part of its broadcast advertising.
