Best Buy Plans Windows Mini-Stores
Best Buy and Microsoft Thursday made the surprise announcement that the retail giant will place Microsoft mini-stores in hundreds of its stores.
The stores, which will feature PCs, tablets, phones, the Xbox and other Microsoft products, will launch in 500 Best Buy locations. Best Buy employees will be trained on the products.
“The Windows Store offers a large-scale, hands-on customer experience that will show customers how Windows and Microsoft devices and services can make it easier for them to work and play,” Tami Reller, chief marketing officer and chief financial officer of the Windows Division at Microsoft, said as part of the announcement.
