Best Buy Probe: Dunn Didn't Misuse Resources; Schulze to Step Down as Chairman
Departed Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn engaged in "an extremely close personal relationship with a female employee that negatively impacted the work environment," but did not misuse company resources, according to the results of an independent investigation commissioned by Best Buy.
The investigation also found that the company's founder and chairman, Richard Schulze "acted inappropriately when he failed to bring the matter to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors." Therefore, Schulze will step down in June.
Schulze, when he steps down next month, will take on the honorary title of founder and chairman emeritus. Hatim Tyabji will replace Schulze as chairman.
