Best Buy Promotes Executive Ballard
The retail giant Best Buy announced Monday that has greatly expanded the role of one of its top executives, putting her in place to oversee the entertainment and multichannel portions of the company’s business.
Shari Ballard, already Best Buy’s executive vice president, has been promoted to executive vice president of entertainment, multichannel and human capital. Her role in the new position, the company said in a statement, will be to supervise the division “as entertainment content continues to migrate toward digital delivery.”
Ballard already oversees call centers, human resources, legal, and web operations, and will now add the entertainment portfolio. Based at the company’s Minneapolis-area headquarters, she will report to both president and chief operating officer Brian Dunn, and CEO Brad Anderson.
