Best Buy Readies Wireless Push
Best Buy is getting set to expand its wireless handset business in a big way, with all 957 of its U.S. stores boasting an expanded wireless display by year’s end. The new display will feature up to 100 phones, as opposed to less than ten previously.
According to the Dallas Morning News, 60 percent of the chain’s stores have already undergone the expansion, which is a part of the retailer’s teaming up with the European chain Carphone Warehouse.
In addition, the company plans to expand its stand-alone Best Buy Mobile concept to 35 stores, up from the handful that were introduced last year.
