Best Buy Spent $340,000 on Lobbyists in Q2
Best Buy spent $340,000 on lobbying in the second quarter, according to federal disclosures cited by the AP.
The retailer spent that money to lobby on issues related to labor, banking, the environment, energy and taxes. The company lobbied Congress as well as the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice and the General Accountability Office.
Best Buy, which recently hired lobbyist Parker Brugge away from the Consumer Electronics Association, spent exactly twice as much on lobbying during the quarter as it had the same period the year before.
