Best Buy to Sponsor NASCAR Race
Best Buy has agreed to become the title sponsor of a NASCAR race to be held in Delaware this June, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported Wednesday. It will mark the first time Best Buy has sponsored a NASCAR race.
The race, on NASCAR’s first-tier Sprint Cup series, will be called the Best Buy 400 benefiting Student Clubs for Autism Speaks, and will benefit the autism awareness charity Autism Speaks. The race is scheduled for June 1 at Dover International Speedway in Delaware.
“Many of our customers love auto racing, so this sponsorship is another way Best Buy is not only supporting the sport they enjoy, but also helping a great charity,” the company’s chief marketing officer, Barry Judge, said in a statement.
