Best Buy Sued By Ex-Employees
The CE retail giant Best Buy was sued this week by a group of ex-employees who allege that the company did not pay them for time spent undergoing security searches, the AP reported.
The workers, spread across 25 Best Buy stores, are seeking class action status. They filed suit in the same Philadelphia Common Pleas Court as the similar suit against Wal*Mart, in which workers were awarded $140 million last year in a dispute over unpaid breaks and overtime. Jason Hall, of Malvern, Pa., is the lead plaintiff.
Best Buy has denied the accusations.
