Best Buy Names Hoffman Senior VP of Consumer Insights
Best Buy this week announced that it has named Bill Hoffman, a former CIA intelligence officer, its new vice president of consumer insights.
Hoffman comes to Best Buy from the Minneapolis office of McKinsey's Strategy Practice, and he previoulsy worked as a Central Intelligence Agency officer. At Best Buy, he will drive decision making and strategy for the customer insights unit, which analyzes customer data and trends.
“We’re excited Bill is bringing his extensive experience in strategic intelligence gathering and planning to Best Buy,” Barry Judge, the company's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said as part of the announcement. “He will be a valuable, seasoned addition to our leadership team and the new consumer insights capability.”
