Best Buy Joins HomeGrid Board
Best Buy this week joined the Board of Directors of the HomeGrid Forum, a global trade group which supports and promotes the nternational Telecommunication Union’s G.hn standardization efforts. The retail giant has become a member of both the group itself and its board.
“The addition of a major consumer electronics retailer to HomeGrid Forum’s board, teamed with our increasing membership, underscores the importance of G.hn as the next-generation global standard for the wired home,” the Forum's president, Matthew Theall, said as part of the announcement.
Other members include Intel, Panasonic, and Texas Instruments.
