Boom Blox, by Spielberg, Coming to Wii
The partnership announced three years between Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg will result in its first game later this year, when the “Boom Blox” arrives on the Nintendo Wii. According to CNET, the game, the first ever to bear the imprimateur of one of the world’s most acclaimed filmmakers, will arrive in May, and be exclusive to the Wii.
Newsweek last year described the game as combining “the creativity of the building-blocks game ‘Jenga’ with the charm of a Saturday-morning cartoon.” The game is said to have more than 30 characters and 300 levels.
It is unclear how much input Spielberg himself had in the game; he has spent recent months filming the new “Indiana Jones” movie, which is scheduled for release this summer.
