BOSS Audio Releases BCAMW80 Wi-Fi-Enabled Dash Cam
Aftermarket 12V product manufacturer BOSS Audio Systems has brought out the Wi-Fi-enabled BCAMW80 dash camera ($129.99).
The BCAMW80, with a 2-inch display and a 150-degree wide-angle lens, includes two cameras: one for an outside view and one for an inside cabin view. The added interior recording feature is useful for recording family road trips, while Internet influencers can use this for driving and talking, says the company.
Feature highlights include dual 1080p Full HD recording capability via the Sony Exmor IMX323 CMOS image sensor, and front, inside and rear camera recording. The system also uses a super capacitor that can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -20 degrees F to +176 degrees F. Other features include: auto loop recording; a 16GB Micro SD card (expandable up to 128GB); motion detection; emergency event recording (G-Sensor – locks files when triggered); date, time, speed, route and location stamp log; a multi-angle mounting system; and a cigarette lighter power adapter
Said Doug Kern, BOSS Audio Systems’ vice president of sales, in the announcement statement: “Our Wi-Fi-enabled BCAMW80 allows the user to view and stream live video and manage files easily through a smartphone app, as well as download, delete, and playback recorded files. It also includes GPS software so that you can track your route, location and speed, an expandable increased memory option, and emergency event recording.”
