Boston Acoustics Adds Sound to Bassett Furniture
Boston Acoustics and Bassett, a furniture manufacturer, have partnered to create the NVELOP line of credenzas with built in sound systems for HDTVs.
The four credenzas range from 50 to 75 inches with prices set at $1,499 to $1,995. Each model includes a 6-inch down-firing wireless subwoofer at the bottom of the cabinet; a 2.1 channel soundbar based on Boston Acoustics’ TVee Model 25, which features virtual surround sound and has been optimized for the cabinetry.
Two of the credenzas – the 75-inch Louis Philippe and the 69-inch Redin Park, feature 180-degree hinge doors that can close on the center shelves and hide the electronic components. The units also include an MP3 mini stereo jack in a drawer, holes for wire management, a four-port power strip and vented shelves for cooling.
