Boston Apple Store, the Largest Ever, Opens Thursday
The largest-ever Apple Store in the U.S.- and the first in downtown Boston- is set to open at 6 p.m. on Thursday, the company announced. The 20,00 square-foot store, located on Boylston St. in the city’s Back Bay section, will begin with 165 employees.
“Our Boylston Street store has a fantastic location to serve people where they work, live, study and play, and we think everyone in the Back Bay community will embrace it as their own,” Apple’s senior vice president of retail, Ron Johnson, said as part of the announcement.
Before the store opened, it was decorated with a facade meant to resemble the Green Monster, the famed left field wall in Boston’s Fenway Park.
