Bragi, marketer of the Bragi Dash wireless smart earphones, has unveiled its second-gen model – The Bragi Dash Pro. Available now to consumers for $329, The Dash Pro is also being offered in a version – The Dash Pro tailored by Starkey - that was devised through a partnership with psychoacoustics expert Starkey Hearing Technologies and is designed to be customized to users through a network of around 5,000 audiologists in the U.S. and Canada ($499).
Both new models are powered by the company’s BOS 3 – the most recent software iteration that the company said enables and optimizes the performance of these “ear computers,” as Bragi CEO and Founder Nikolaj Hviid references his product.
The latest Bragi models, said the company, feature seamless Bluetooth pairing, one-touch setup to connect to Apple, Android and Windows devices, and longer battery life (to the tune of five hours on a single charge, and five charges for up to 30 hours on the go) than the earlier model. Additionally, through a partnership with iTranslate, real-time conversational language translation in around 40 languages is another feature. (This feature is available for free for a one-month trial, and works via the iTranslate Pro App in Apple’s App Store.)
