The excitement from the 2016 BrandSource Convention was underscored by a room full of retailers, cheering, “It’s all about the members,” between highlights from CEO Jim Ristow.
At the biannual meeting at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas late in August, Ristow explained creative solutions to three main points that “define who wins or loses in retail.” His three legs of the stool are: nailing the in-store experience, digital execution and connecting to the Millennial, adding, “it’s not coincidental that we are making digital marketing such a big focus.
“This is the biggest shift in marketing ever,” Ristow said. “They know they need to do it. The awareness is not the issue. Now they are asking us, ‘How can we do it?’ This is just the beginning of something that will redefine our organization and what it does to help its members.”
