In the past, Bob Lawrence, CEO of BrandSource, backed off from publicly challenging the big box stores. He wanted to play nice, he said, not stir up any controversy. Those days are over.
Speaking before thousands of BrandSource electronics, appliance and furniture dealers at the group’s Spring Summit in Dallas Monday, Lawrence said it’s time to “directly attack” the box stores. “We stand on the cusp of being the next great retailer brand,” he said.
