The trick for the mobile electronics dealer is to take the zeal demonstrated by Owens and Gates and translating that enthusiasm into sales. Obviously the old NASCAR mantra of 'Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday' applies here. "Pioneer is creating materials for our dealers as well as a four-page handout for consumers at local events to show how Pioneer products can get their ride LOUD," Kehring says.
Owens' success has led him into entrepreneurship and the creation of his first car audio retail store. "Edge Audio will be opening our first retail store in November. Of course we will be carrying Pioneer products," he says. The current champion will keep competing as others try to break 180 dB and barriers beyond.
