BSH to Invest $200 million in North American Appliance Market

Munich, Germany-based BSH Home Appliances Corp. last week held its annual show, hosting more than 500 home appliances dealers and distributors.
At the same time, the company invited the dealers and distributors to attend the opening of its 11,000 sq.ft. Purcell/Murray BSH Showroom and Training Facility in the company's headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif. During the opening ceremony, the company announced it will invest $200 million into the North American market—USA and Canada—with plans to expand its presence in the cooking and laundry categories especially. The company also said it plans to open another showroom in San Francisco in January 2002.
