Directors of some of the industry's leading buying groups recently spoke with Dealerscope editor Nancy Klosek for our annual buying group roundtable, to be featured in the upcoming March issue of Dealerscope. Here are some excerpts in which the directors discuss some of the most important dealer initiatives they’ll be launching during the year.
Jeannette Howe, executive director, Specialty Electronics Nationwide: One thing I’m very hot on right now is Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) training. We are co-sponsoring with Sencore free ISF training at PrimeTime (March 8-11 in New Orleans) for the first 25 dealers who sign up. You are not going to see more footprints in the door this year, but you may be able to get more share of your customer. If you have more tools in your toolbox, then being able to do that is a more likely circumstance.
The other thing I’m launching with Debra Smith is a ‘Get Clients Now’ Webinar program. I think that so many of us are relying on what I would consider some antiquated advertising initiatives to reach our clients base. The reality is the most effective way to reach them at this point is by picking up the phone and talking to them.
