The Kodak 14-megapixel Mini Digital Film Scanner ($129.99) converts film to JPG files. It is compatible with 35, 126, 110, Super 8 and Monochrome film and slides. Its user interface is streamlined for one-press scanning and rapid menu navigation, and the device also allows viewing and editing of current slide or gallery pictures on the 2.4-inch LCD color display; the internal memory holds up to 128MB of data. It’s packaged with multiple adapters to help expedite film loading speed and the conversion process. An extended accessories pack is available as an option that includes a 3-in-1 international adapter so that the device can be used in Europe and the U.K.
Kodak’s Mobile Film Scanner ($39.99) lets the user scan and save film negatives with a single touch, using only a smartphone. Its lightweight platform and tray design folds out and can be collapsed for more convenient storage and portability into the size of a small box. It features a built-in LED backlight, and there is a free mobile app for scanning, editing and sharing photos. The user inserts the old film or slide in the tray, turns on the backlight, places the camera lens over the hole and captures the image via the app. It is compatible with 35mm color film negatives, 35mm black & white film negatives and 35mm color slides. The devices uses 2 AA batteries, and the app is compatible with Android 5.0 and up and iOS iPhone 6 and up.
Also available is the Kodak 35mm Slide Viewer for 35mm slides and film negatives ($44.99), aimed at photo enthusiasts who want to view and sort legacy film negatives and slides before printing them.
