Three employees at a Circuit City location in the Modesto, Calif., area were arrested this week on charges that they used fraudulent credit transactions to steal $50,000 worth of property, the Modesto Bee reported.
The employees’ haul allegedly included a plasma-screen TV, an Xbox 360, and numerous other items, which they are accused of procuring by falsely charging the items to nonexistent credit lines. The three employees, including two 19-year-olds and a 23-year-old, have been charged with burglary, conspiracy, identity theft, and grand theft, and police confiscated the items.
Other employees may be charged as well, the newspaper said.
