It’s the buzzword of buzzwords in the retail space right now, but omnichannel retailing truly is the path forward for the traditional retailer. This is the way consumers shop in the 21st century; they go from browsing the aisles of a store, to talking about products on social media, to scouring a website for deals, and ultimately purchasing something through an app.
Of course, that’s just one purchase path example, but it stresses the importance of this multi- or omnichannel approach in retail. Consumers are everywhere, which means retailers have to be everywhere as well.
But who’s doing omnichannel right? And what does “doing omnichannel right” even mean?
