CE SHOPPERS’ INTERNET USAGE
The joint Consumer Electronics Association/Yahoo! study, entitled “Understanding How Consumers Use the Internet to Research and Shop for CE Products,” found that nearly eight out of 10 consumers used the Internet to research or purchase CE products.
The survey asked consumers about their paths to purchase five specific CE products: cell phones, computers, digital cameras, digital music players and televisions.
Senior Director of Research Tim Herbert says the mix of resources that consumers use to research their online purchases hasn’t changed much in five years. What’s changed in five years, he says, is the volume of consumers researching online.
